Welcome to Unit 724’s Website!!! We are chartered with United Methodist Church of West Covina in California. We are part of the Golden Eagle District with the San Gabriel Valley Council. Our Unit consists of a Cub Scout Pack, a Boy Scout Troop, and a Venturing Crew. We all meet every Wednesday night from 7:00-8:00 p.m. for the Pack, and from 6:30-8:00 pm for the Troop & Crew.
Our Unit also works on Religious Emblems of 5 different faiths, conservation projects, and service awards such as the William T. Hornaday Badges and many many more. Our Unit is definitely following the “The Scouting Trail”, an excerpt from the 1910 Scouting Handbook.

This is the trail that the Scout shall know where knightly qualities thrive and grow;
the trail of honor and truth and worth and the strength that springs from the good brown earth;
the trail that Scouts, in their seeking, blaze through the toughest tangle, the deepest maze,

On August 7th, 2011. our troop and crew departed for their summer camp program. at circle-x ranch by lake arrowhead. with 9 troop members and 7 crew members, and 3 leaders. I'm glad to say we all had a great time. our scouts earned over 45 merit badges, many out post awards, polar bear swim awards, totin chip, and rank advancements too.
our crew members became master's of the ropes. from the climbing walls, to the low and high c.o.p.e. programs. they spent 4 nights away from camp on the out post programs. and our unit won all events. 100% on campsite inspections, 1st, 2nd, 3rd place with the patrol flags, 1st in the dance off, 1st, 2nd, 3rd place in the cobbler cook off, 1st place in the chili cook off. 1st place in archery, 1st place in rifle, and best unit their.
